Event Description:
Class taught by Joe Nagan, Home Building Technology Services

As we head into the fall and winter it’s almost inevitable that you will get calls from customers about interior moisture problems. It might sounds something like this:

Customer says their home is ‘too-tight’ and all the moisture problems are your problem!
You reply that ‘they’ don’t run their bath fans long enough!
You go back & forth over several calls and might not ever agree on a solution but may lose all the goodwill you had accumulated up to this point; not good.

In this 4.5 hour jam-packed session we will cover all the parameters, including homeowner responsibility that can lead to moisture problem call-backs here in Wisconsin.

Topics include the following and all information presented is from years of research and consulting done right here in Wisconsin. No National references or excuses.
  • Dew-Point for Dummies
  • Construction air-sealing and building tightness
  • Mechanical ventilation systems
  • Vented attic ‘ventilation’
Class approved for 4.5 hours of continuing education credit toward the Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Credential.
