TOPIC: Recruiting Strategies to Attract and Retain Young Talent

At this month's Member-to-Member Morning Connection, Tania Kilpatrick from CESA 6 will be presenting Recruiting Strategies to Attract and Retain Young Talent with an emphasis on the Inspire New North Network Program.

Inspire is a software program that links students to local employers and community mentors, providing them with real-world experience, enriching the local workforce and ultimately stimulating community growth. The sooner students understand their career passions, and the sooner employers can identify talent coming through the education system, the more effectively communities can retain and grow local talent, and the more prepared students can be for future careers. Inspire is currently open for local employers to set up profiles, register as career coaches and actively recruit for apprenticeship opportunities. Learn more about how this program in tandem with the Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship program is changing the landscape of K-12 career development in the region.

Tania Kilpatrick is a member of the CESA 6 Instructional Services Program licensed as a Career and Technical Education Coordinator. As a former Marketing Education Instructor with years of experience in business and industry, her passion continues to be working along side with business and industry to strengthen secondary CTE programs and align them with economic trends. Tania provides assistance with curriculum development and coordination of Federal and state grants to support career development. Tania has leadership certification in Career Pathways and continues to serve a as a liaison between education and community partners to provide opportunities for youth in Wisconsin.
